Hi, Thanks to a recent email from Stardock I was able to unlock the collectors edition content..

Downloaded the Desktop theme and would like to say that I am very pleased with it, It looks very nice after the same (censored) happy blue desktop we have all come to know and hate the past 4 or so years XP has been out.

It blends seamlessly with my copy of firefox (Which is great) and has even prompted me to do a massive desktop cleanup!

My only negative comment is that on the wallpaper of the Drengin Shock Troopers, Its rather hard to read the text underneath the icons..

Otherwise, Great job!

Does yours also look funny when you play the game in windoes mode? I mean the border around the game window?

Hi, i Downloaded and installed the desktop theme too, but when i play Galciv 2 in windows mode the game is blurry (text is very difficult to read, and as Geckomind says the border around the window is black witn no visible borders, i reinstalled windows theme and all is back to normal . (i run windows XP, and i did no change, only installed special Galciv 2 theme)

I get that too, I thought it was a problem on my laptop. The GalCiv2 theme works great with everything other than GalCiv2 itself!

The window frame gets allocaed but not drawn, showing what was there before.

Hmmm.... Can we get a word from Stardock on this? It's such a nice theme... Would be a shame.....

The game is using Direct3D. WindowBlinds ignores it by default.

Create a wbdbg.ini file in the ThemeManager or WindowBlinds directory with the content below, that should sort it.

[galciv2.exe]
ActiveFix=1
DirectXisOk=1

I've had the basic windows look with a differant wallpaper for the last two years LOL. Never liked any of the themes and stuff I've picked up but put on the gal civ 2 theme and have kept it up so far. It's great, I love the looks of it, great job guys! Can you get us some screensavers, that would be cool..... or if we could save our ship battles and merg them togather and make a screensaver....

Any other ideas for a solution? I currently only have the Theme Manager installed. I'm running Windows XP (latest updates) and GalCiv II 1.0D.008.
